Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 2026

Stride ("the app") is a tool that connects to your Strava account to generate shareable activity cards and captions. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and what we don't do with it.

What data we access

When you connect your Strava account, we request read-only access to your activities. Specifically, we access:

We request the minimum permissions necessary. We do not access your Strava followers, segments, clubs, or any personal contact information.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to generate the visual cards and text captions displayed to you in the app. All processing happens in your browser — your activity data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

We do not:

Authentication tokens

When you connect with Strava, an access token is stored in your browser's session storage. This token allows the app to fetch your activities during your current session. It is cleared when you disconnect or close your browser session. Your Strava credentials are never visible to us — the token exchange happens via a secure serverless function that only passes the token back to your browser.

Third-party services

Stride uses the Strava API to access your activity data. Your use of Strava is governed by Strava's Privacy Policy. We have no control over Strava's data practices.

The app is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request times) as part of normal hosting operations.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google may collect usage data per their Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

Stride is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has connected their account, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your rights

Since we don't store your data, there's nothing to delete or export on our end. To revoke Stride's access to your Strava account at any time, visit strava.com/settings/apps and remove Stride from your connected applications.
